Aunt Bea is with Jesus now.

July 15, 2020 by Lloyd Jr. 4 Comments

Aunt Bea went to be with her savior this morning around 3:30am. We will all miss her so much.

The visitation and the funeral will be this Saturday, July 18th at Faith Lutheran Church in Jefferson City (2027 Industrial Drive). Visitation will be from 12-1pm and the service will follow from 1-2pm. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery on West Main Street and afterwards there will be refreshments aback at the church.

The family suggests that memorials be given to Calvary Lutheran School in Jefferson City. That’s the still in my mind new high school where a fair number of our cousins have attended.

You can read Aunt Bea’s obituary here. There are also maps to the Church and Cemetery. Aunt Bea was 90 years old this year.

Uncle Mahlon has moved to a nursing home

May 9, 2019 by Lloyd Jr. 2 Comments

Uncle Lloyd wanted me to let you know that Uncle Mahlon moved into a retirement community in Higginsville this week. I’m sure you will all want to stop by and say hello, but the staff has requested that we wait a couple of weeks so that Uncle Mahlon has time to adjust and learn the staff members. You might have noticed the last time you talked to him that Uncle Mahlon can have trouble remembering things.

I don’t really have any other details, but I’m sure Uncle Mahlon and Aunt Mary Lynn would appreciate you keeping them in your prayers during this time of transition.

Linda Williams passed away this morning

May 10, 2018 by Lloyd Jr. 1 Comment

Anne Miller asked that I share with you that Linda Williams passed away this morning. At the time, the funeral arrangements were still incomplete, but I see that Brenna Batty posted some information on Facebook. I’m just going to copy that information here:

Family & friends- Dad, Anne and I are heartbroken to share with you that our wife/momma passed away early this morning. Our family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.

Arrangements for Mom are:

  • Visitation: Monday, May 14, at 10:00am at  Redeemer Lutheran Church
(911 West Mt. Vernon Street, Nixa MO 65714)
  • Funeral immediately following  at 11:00am

I’m sure I speak for the whole family when I say that we will keep you all in our prayers and that we look forward with you to the day we will once again be reunited in heaven.

Update: there will probably be more information at Adams Funeral Home.

Open House and Fundraiser for Chance

November 14, 2017 by Lloyd Jr. 1 Comment

Whitney asked me to post the information about the Chili Supper Fundraiser for Chance’s medical expenses. I’ll also include the Open House information in case anyone missed it. There’s also a raffle going on, but I don’t have any information about it. I’m sure someone can fill us in in the comment section.

Celebration of John Engelbrecht’s Retirement

May 8, 2016 by Lloyd Jr. Leave a Comment

Danny asked me to put this up:

There will be a celebration of the retirement of John Engelbrecht (teacher at Honey Creek & St. Paul High School, Executive Director at Calvary High School in Jefferson City) on May 14 at Calvary HS, from 1:00 – 4:00 with a program about 2:00 or so.  If anyone wants to donate towards a special gift for John they can send it to me and I will see that its put on the kiddy for him.  If someone can’t make it and wants to give him a nice remembrance that can be done by sending it to EngelbrechtRetirement@yahoo.com, they will put all the comments into a booklet for him.   If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call or Email me.
