One Halloween, our car was broken down. We had a 4-H Halloween party at Oak Grove. We got dressed up in our costumes. Mother and Daddy went-with us. We walked by lantern light to Oak Grove. When we got there, no one could guess who we were because we came out of the woods and had no car to give us away. I will always remember that beautiful walk through the woods late that night. It was spooky and exciting with a big moon and millions of stars shining, and Mother and Daddy to keep us safe.

Halloween Costume “Contest”
It has been brought to my attention that we have been dwelling on the past a lot for the last few weeks. Mary Jane Piazza and Julie Baker have (independently, I think, but they might be playing me) suggested that we have a little costume “contest”.
The idea is that everyone takes a picture of their kids, grand-kids, nieces, nephews und so weiter. Then email the pictures to me: lloyd@LloydAndLauren.com. I’ll put them on the website and we can all ohhh and ahhh over them.
If you take the pictures inside there will probably be better lighting, and please make sure you tell me who is who in each picture, or I’ll just mess everything up. If you want to make sure that we have a picture of your grand-babies, you might want to call your kids in case they don’t read this article.
