I took about 80 VHS tapes from Uncle Lloyd and aunt Jane’s basement over Christmas and am slowly moving them onto the computer and editing them. Here’s the first one:

It’s great that you can do the transfer and editing so we can see Rachel and Sam’s wedding again. I really enjoyed it.
You will never know how much I enjoyed this video. It is wonderful. and you know what? we were all so young!!! It was good seeing what we looked like nearly 20 years ago. I love it! Thank you Lloyd Sr. for filming the wedding, and Lloyd Jr. for putting it on our web site. It was a beautiful wedding.
There was a lot of footage to use for this. My Dad basically turned the camera on at the start of the service and pointed it at the ceiling for most of it. But that would have been pretty boring.
The camera was still pointed at the ceiling for the ring exchange, so I took a 15 section section of film that looked good and slowed it down. If you look closely, you can see that they aren’t really exchanging rings in the video.
But it’s a better video this way (don’t tell my dad).
You did a good job Lloyd, Dad said so! If I remember right there was not supposed to be videoing done. That is why he pointed it at the ceiling and let it run. I am so glad we can attend it again.
I’m short because of all of your work I had to do while we were growing up. Wanted to also use several comments like: Sam’s short but Steve’s sermons aren’t just ask the twins about their 48 minute graduation marathon (message). Actually, just that one comment because I’m not very clever and it’s been a long weekend.
