Lloyd Jr. I can’t thank you enough for all you did for our family in promoting this special occasion. We had a great turnout from our family alone, not to mention all the other familys and friends who came to honor Aunt Alma Goldhammer Sommerer for her 100 years here on earth. I would also like to thank Carolyn Jean and her family. They did a super job. Thank you everyone.
I am taking this space for a “memory” of Aunt Alma. It is, when I was confirmed, she gave me a pretty pink blouse for my gift. She, being the modest, proper lady she was, had me put it on to make sure it looked okay with a slip under it, because the fabric was very thin. It did look okay and I wore it a lot. For some reason this memory stuck with me and I learned a lesson from it…about being proper and modest. As a young person, it was good to have all those wonderful sister-in-laws to learn things from. Maybe someone else has a memory to share of Aunt Alma?
