Bea is on this picture. She is standing in front of me and she is turned around talking to Lolly and Naomi. There must be hundreds of pictures like this in our family. Does anyone have a better one.
Oh my gosh!!! You are right! I’m so glad you noticed that. Her face/hair looks like part of the tree and I couldn’t see anything else of her!! Thanks for noticing that. I’ll correct it on my photo in my album.
I want to talk about the dresses we are wearing. Naomi and Lolly made their dresses in 4-H. My outfit was given to me by Margie, I am not sure why because it was beautiful and way more FASHIONABLE piece of clothing then I would ordinary wear. I had it a long time before it fit me and I had a place to wear it. This was the first time. There were also a pair of shoes to go with the outfit. I think I was 15 or 16 that summer. Thank God for Margie. I wish we could get someone to donate a Picture where Bea is showing. I know there some out there . We took many pictures that day. This was the first day that our family was ever all together at one time.( EVER)I know you won’t believe me but it is the truth. It was 1950 or 1951 I think. My older brothers and sisters purchased mother a corsage which she wore when we went to Jefferson City to have a family picture taken( I am sure you have all seen it).
I wonder if that family picture is on this site? I remember seeing it at grandmas. Now that you mention it I remember what my mom was wearing in that picture! (the flower) is what I remember that she was wearing in the picture. Interesting to know this is the pre picture, picture!
I remember how beautiful Cleo was in that dress. It matched the color of her hair. She had such pretty hair anyway. The flower on the front of the dress was so pretty, and full of color. I think the dress was brown skirt and cream colored top. or something like that. I was so impressed with her grown up look. Naomi’s dress was red and white. and mine was light blue. We made ours. Naomi did such a good job on hers and she wasn’t very old.
