Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles puts on an annual Boar’s Head production at Christmas time and this year Anna Sommerer was old enough to participate.
Anna was a Wait or maybe Wate…..not sure how you spell that, but she did a little number and sang with all her might and was just adorable!
Rachel Sommerer was also in the production (we are not sure if she IS actually old enough to participate, but they let her in) as the entire percussion section. It was very impressive, and I dare say quite loud where she was at.
We stopped by Sam and Rachel’s after the show and got to watch another show with their pooch! Apparently Sam has started his children in on some bizarre weight lifting involving poor Chapin…..sorry boy!

I wish/hope maybe Rachel will perform her part for us at Heit’s!!?? I know it must have been very impressive!
Rachel says
Will you supply the drums, tamborine, triangle, cymbols (both suspended and crash), chimes, etc.?
Christina Rowland says
If by “drums” you mean pots, we might be able to accommodate you! I’m pretty sure we have a “Crash” in the family, and someone could bring up one of the clothes hangers for a triangle…..let’s see a tamborine…..that might have to be made out of tin can lids and duck tape, but we could probably do it. Just remember who it is you are asking to supply the equipment and don’t be surprised at the condition!
btw….your playing was terrific!
Aunt Lolly says
We got to see one of the Boar’s head performances, it was truly amazing. We were so proud of Anna and Rachel. The whole service is to beautiful for words. Wish everyone could see it!
