I graduated from Eugene High School in May 1942. I got a job at Woolworth’s and then for The News Tribune Newspaper. I spent some time there.
On May 23, 1943 we had another baby brother, Lloyd. He was adorable. I didn’t get to know him very well.
In 1945 I was married. In 1947 we moved to Decatur, Illinois where I worked at the Decatur Herald.
In 1952 we had a beautiful baby girl whom we loved dearly.
In 1961 we moved to Joliet, Illinois. I went to work for the Joliet Herald from where I retired on March 24th, 1990, my 65th birthday.
I have done a lot of traveling and am enjoying my family – Kathy, Loren, Sarah, Leanne and Thomas.
