Everyone is probably already there but the Meisinger’s/Margie but to answer your question I-29 was open last weekend as far I knew because we sent trucks through there. If not, you should have proper swim attire for the lake…just put that on and swim to Heit’s Point.

Ahhhhh! What a wonderful Sommerer Family Reunion at Heit’s Point. I am likely the first to get back home, and I wanted to be the first to use this wonderful Sommerer Family Website to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all those who executed the event. Thanks to Rachel for her patience and sweetness setting up reservations; thanks to Sam for his beautiful sermon/service Sunday. I especially appreciated the wonderful prayer for Derrick and Mary Beth. And thanks to Sam also for his “directorship” role. Thanks to Tina for her excellent professional photo-taking, something that we all treasure and to Lloyd for this website to keep in contact with our extended families. Last but not least, thanks to Debbie and Becky and all those many others who prepared those wonderful meals and all the efforts that went along with keeping over 100 people fed at Heits. There are others that need thanks also, I’m sure..but I can’t think of all of them right now. You are all so loved and appreciated. Thanks again!!!!!

Made it there and home again in one piece! It was good to see everyone again . Everyone under 20 is growing and changing and it is a wonderful thing to watch them grow! On the other hand…everyone over 20 hasn’t changed a bit! (that’s a good thing!) Love Julie

What a wonderful time. We made it home at 2:58 PM, unloaded the gator, pulled the trucks and trailer into the horse barn and them it really stormed. Hope all are OK at HP. It is much cooler now than it was this weekend. Heits Point is about 1.5 hours away for us. I sometime take for granted the effort it takes for our family members that must travel many more miles, some by plane to be with us. Those are the ones that are really sacrificing. From Greg Vetter to Mary Jane and everyone in between. For our Aunts and Uncles to be with us is truly a blessing and a testament to their closeness as a family. There are so many beautiful young’ns its fun to see them grow bigger every year I can’t wait to hear the stories of all of your adventures and opinions about how the weekend went. Blessings to all. Thanks to those who made this weekend of love and fellowship possible.

Pleas feel free to take any pictures you want from my photo stream to add to your collection of pictures from the weekend. Just find the envelope on the top towards the right….click it and email the picture to yourself.
Now I would like to see your pictures of the weekend!

I always have to search and search for these instructions every time I put photos on flicker…They are under HELP at the very top #6. I always look for them under more… How to..!! haha
Hope someone else posts some pictures!

How do I add a picture?

To add a picture you will need a Flickr account. Flickr is free, and you might decide to use it to organize your photos, or maybe you’ll just upload a few so that we can see them. Once you have a Flickr account, you upload a picture and tag (a tag is like attaching a note to the picture) your photo with “sommererfamilywebsite” (but without the quotes). Then the photo will automatically appear with the other pictures in the sidebar. This will take about 24 hours the first time you do it, but will be faster after that.
You should only tag a few pictures at a time, because our website only displays the nine most recently tagged photos. But you can upload as many as you like.
Once the photo is on Flickr, you or someone else can use it to write a post.

Greetings all of our terrific family!!! This will be another Sommerer Summer to remember. This was our 14th Heits reunion. Seems like #15 should be a milestone event. We learned Sunday that the “old” cousins from St. Louis will be 70. HA!
Merideth Putnam Nitzel will be 40 on August 8th if anyone wishes to send her the wishes. 2465 W. 162nd Terrace, Stilwell, KS 66085

Thank you Thank you to everyone for keeping and making our family so great. Happy Independence Day and Blessings to All

PS Rachel/Tina we’d like the Living Waters Room for Friday and Sat. 🙂

Thank you Julie for putting those wonderful pictures on the web for us to see.

Wonder if Pete went to Joplin today to see Rush Limbaugh?

I am having Uncle Mahlon’s sweet tea withdrawls.

    Love to all.. Danny

Do you all know how the radio stations handle call in phone contests? They first clear the phones and then open them up to take callers? Well, we have not yet cleared the phone lines and we are not yet taking callers for 2012 reservations. Watch the website and we will let you know when to “call in.”

It was wonderful to see everyone!! We love you all.
