Danny asked me to let everyone know that he would have some of these available at the family Reunion in, well, today. He actually sent me this last week, but I was in New Orleans, and either busy or drunk, depending on the time of day. The books are available for some suggested donation amount, or twice that, if you’re feeling generous, or drunk.

Prayers for Heidi
(This is Lauren typing because Lloyd is asleep after a long day of pulling wire at Lincoln Lutheran. I’m sure he’ll update this later to make it charming and funny.)
Heidi is ill with painful, swollen lymph nodes but no fever. She has been tested for COVID and will know the results by Monday. She’s asking for prayers, everyone, so thank you for your faith and love!
Praying for you, Heidi!
Update: Heidi’s Covid test came back positive, so continue to keep her in your prayers.
Not too late to use your Thrivent Action Plans for Heit’s Point or elsewhere!
My mom, Aunt Jane to some of you, sent this to me:
Dear family,
I talked to Mark Nolte at Heit’s Point today. If you have unused Thrivent projects you can turn them in before the end of 2020 to be used between January and April of 2021. To use them for Heit’s Point, mark it as a servant project. Your part will be coordinating and planning. He has had several go through as “Help with Volunteering” for whatever is needed. Set the use as supplies and an amount of $250.00. You can even change the address to:
Mark Nolte
Heit’s Point Lutheran Ministries
28345 Heit’s Point Ave.
Lincoln, Mo. 65338
That way, you will not have to get the project to him (it will be sent right to Heit’s point). If you do not want to use it for Heit’s Point, find another worthwhile project and submit for. It has to be done before the end of December.
And I would just add that if don’t live in Missouri, it is probably easier to pick a local charity to use the free $500 dollars that everyone with a Thrivent Insurance policy or Retirement Account has.
Last Call
If you still need a room or are joining us for any meals but have not let me know, please let me know by Friday.
Thank you,
christina
Heit’s Point Pavilion
As you know from the e-mail that went out a few weeks ago, there was a kitchen fire at the pavilion (The Ascension House). The entire kitchen was destroyed and will need to be cleared out and gutted, per Cindy at Heit’s.
I just called Cindy this morning in response to a few texts/e-mails I received on the use of the part of the pavilion that is not the kitchen (the gathering area). There is no electricity at the pavilion at this time, and it will not be on by this weekend.
We do however have use of the gymnasium if we want it. This should give us plenty of space for the kiddos to run around and still have room to set up some tables for cards or a circle to sing. If we are gathering at the gym, we would ask that anyone besides the aunts and uncles park in the Spitz parking lot and not directly in front of the gym. You can always drive in to drop off your stuff, but please don’t leave your vehicle.
