Grandma’s Pies… by Aunt Florence

Here’s one from Aunt Florence…

I always marveled at how good Grandma’s pies tasted, especially the strawberry and rhubarb ones, or the combination of the two fruits.  I later found out the distinctive taste came from the fact she used lard in the crust, not that white stuff we call Crisco that I always used.

I’m sure we all have memories of Grandma’s cooking that we could share.
